2008? Tech Inspections?

I'm excited about the 2008 PB500.  I already have a room reserved and an rip rearing to go!  When will more info be posted, registration, etc?

and about the tech inspection, I am assuming you follow the laws of the State that the bike is registered in?  Meaning in MD, turn signals are not required on motorcycles.

My guess would be "When in Rome do as the Romans do". They generally are trying not to upset anyone in the areas ridden, and want to set forth a positive image of dualsport bikes. I am pretty sure NJ law says you have to have turn signals, and I don't recall seeing any motorcycles last year without signals, headlight, tailight/brake light etc.
Oh, and though I am not involved except as a participant I figured I would respond because it is VERY unlikely you would get a response until much much closer to the date of the event!

Thanks Matt - I'll check back later and see whats/what.   I'm hoping they'll follow the MSF "STATE ON-HIGHWAY MOTORCYCLE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS" list.  I hate the idea of scrounging up DOT approved turn signal stalks for my 450EXC just to ride the PB500.

500cc minimum on this year's PB500, so you don't need to waste your time putting turnsignals on.  Geared towards Adventure touring, not enduro touring :)

I'm ready to go.  Just waiting to register.  Anyone camp last year.  Probably gonna trailer my bike up and sleep in the trailer.  Coming from D.C. area.

HA! My EXC is an 07 and already is fully street legal! biggrin  I just needed to replace some turn signals that had been broken off and replaced with smaller, less susceptable turn signals that weren't DOT legal.wink

I'll bring my '00 KLR instead.  And it is really just a damn big enduro too.  So I guess I'll still be enduro touring anyway, eh? aww

For what bike? A long as the bike has an current inspection sticker from the state it's registered it should be OK.
